Marriage, like the whole life, is a difficult thing. You have to start over from scratch every day, and you must do this every day for the rest of your life.
This effort should be ongoing and sometimes exhausting, but worth it. A character in one of my novels puts it more bluntly: “Love can be learned, too.”
