fellow Aussie here, working in manufacturing the last few years in various industries I think the article is dead on. from my experience and higher up people I'd spoken to, this is all true. I don't think he missed a beat I'm much less confident that Australia will pick itself up through this, but there's some hope as we almost instinctively follow America.. just at a lag I think Trumps focus with all of this is national security, not necessarily bringing *all* manufacturing to US or ending globalisation. just reshuffling while they still have the power to
