it makes more sense imo and would void the argument about whether or not farcaster airdrops are good

I doubt it, it’s such a legal grey area from what I understand and I think it’s just a terminology dispute.
But I’m not an attorney, I was a paralegal briefly. I wish there was a crypto expert attorney we could tag on here to ask. I’m sure there is but I’m not aware of them.

I just think for fc it should be called something else. you can't put rules on "airdrops" it's not even defined, everyone has a different answer for what an airdrop is and why they're given. trying to change that behaviour is pointless
just call it what it is. early rewards for participating, but slashed if you opt out. seems reasonable to call that "social"
"airdrops" were always based on wallet interaction.. then *shudders* points. this is different

I think some transformations and change will come from the discourse rn in FC about airdrops. I don’t have a position on the matter, I just want to see airdrops evolve and innovate. I think the current model has been stagnant and carbon copied by many projects.
