Shall I do a SF trip mainly for fund raising? feels like team not in SF is unfairly disadvantaged in this. Definitely not for the 20-hour long flight..

What are you fundraising for and do you think doing it remotely outside of sf can work? Singapore also has plenty of funds - let me know if I can be of help

It's worth it if you can build up a network and line up the calls. Let's say you plan for like 1 month out and reach out to all of your founder friends to ask for intros. IMO it's less necessary at early stage and is more helpful for closing investors who are already warm and thinking about investing.

Can you setup meetings ahead? if not, you'll need to go for much longer than you might think. Ideally you're talking to 50+ investors and can use the time there to pressure a meeting into a week or so. Otherwise, gotta build up those relationships and have the time to be opportunistic.
