What makes this 2.7-meter (9-foot) exoskeleton, called "Arrive" by Japanese company Skeletonics, so special is that it derives its power from no motors, hydraulics, or electricity.
So how does it work?
The entire system is built on a complex network of mechanical linkages and cables that directly mirror the operator's movements. It's a completely analog structure. When the operator lifts their arm, this mechanical system instantly transmits that small movement to the giant skeleton's arm at a magnified scale.
This isn't a "powered" exoskeleton, but a "motion transfer" system. Its primary purpose isn't heavy lifting or industrial use; it's a real-time "mecha" (giant robot) control experience for trade shows, live shows, and the entertainment industry.
