In a few months, it will be two years since my best friend passed away, though in reality, he has never truly left. He’s with me in every corner of the apartment with Layne, and his energy was present during every vocal tracking session for Cleaver’s album, Variety Show. Since art has been my refuge lately, I felt it was the right time to paint his urn. It was a healing process; every brushstroke and every color reflects his life, his struggles, his happiness, and that unconditional loyalty that bound us together.
