Here is a tree I regularly walk by, with leaves, and from a slightly different angle without leaves.

As long as it's not goatse, Alex Beckenham has a major point.
Also, some of the 'useless' threads are actually quite entertaining, if not educational (e.g. the Rawdawg and Bitcoin snail graph/meme ones).
I agree with the referral code one, though even that was interesting to see, some people are quite creative Smiley

What is the oldest undisturbed, untouched forest in the world?
Shared between Poland and Belarus, the primeval Białowieża forest still retains the mystical wild splendor of old Europe. About 1,000 years ago, most of North Eastern and Central Europe was covered in a non ending sea of forests, teeming with a wide variety of bears, wolves, aurochs, Bison, and other large northern mammals. Białowieża forest has seen some damage and endured the ravages of war and hunting, but has nevertheless endured, remaining one of the few wild places of Europe to retain the ancient mystery of the northern parts of the continent. Many of the trees first sprouted in the early 1400s. Białowieża forest (Belarusian: Белавежа Biełavieža) covers vast areas of north eastern Europe, Poland owning 547.82 and Belarus 835 square miles of the forest respectively. The forest is a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site.
