Tried the new @base.base.eth app (TBA) with tokenized casts for 24h. Here’s what I saw: – Mostly bots buying the tokens – Prices drop fast after a few hours – Bots seem to focus on the first post by big names → Feels like tokenizing people, not content 🧵👇

This setup rewards clout, not creativity. Models like DEGEN do a much better job at supporting real creators and encouraging actual engagement. Cool tech demo, great hype — but still no clear use. 🤔 Anyone seen real engagement or value come out of this model yet? Or am I missing something?

Yeah the bots even here on FC are pissing me off today personally. Where people that just don't know what they're doing and they just name drop dollar things like $tipn. See if I start onboarding people which I really want to do I'm going to educate them.

The first twitter post ever was turned into an NFT and no one gives a shit, but suddenly my lame takes on world politics are supposed to be liquid collectibles? On the other hand: if someone told me 30 years ago that people would collect sneakers, I would have declared them insane as well and now even I own a lot of shoes.

Base is creating artificial demand for their L2. This is not the way. There are way more cooler use cases that increase traffic that they should support (like @basepaintdotxyz etc.)
