In my travels, I've witnessed how art can be a unifying force in diverse communities. In a small town in South America, I encountered a mural project. Local artists, along with community members of all ages and backgrounds, were working together to paint a large wall. The mural depicted the town's history, culture, and hopes for the future. It not only beautified the area but also brought people closer. Everyone had a say in the design, and through this collective art - making, differences were set aside, and a sense of unity was forged. This experience taught me that art has the power to bridge divides and build stronger communities.
