After 3 weeks experimenting on the base app I see a lot of potential but I’ve also noticed some missing features and bugs that need to be fixed: Bugs 1. Give feedback button doesn’t work so I have to post it here and hope it reaches the right person 😅 2. If profile assets are set to private I can’t see my own assets. 3. Tagged profiles in bio do not work. Only hyperlinks work 4. I don’t see an option to set my profile coin. Am I missing something? Minimal Features that are missing 1. Should be able to see my own likes and recasts 2. Content/casts should be indexed and searchable not only profiles, coins, and apps 3. I should have option to set profile coin with any coin. Why are creator coins from Zora the only option? 4. Should have website option for profile. 5. Not sure if coining is the answer for all posts Timeline algo needs updates 1. It does not seem to be curated by people I’m actually following. 2. I can only discover base posts from people I’m following on farcaster and then have to manually search for them on base app to find and support posts(not good UX for creators and supporters) 3. Cross posting from farcaster needs work. I see posts from people I’m following only on farcaster that never even show up in the talk tab on base app. My most recent post i see in the talk tab is from 10 hours ago… 4. The trade tab is mostly AI generated images/slop from people I don’t even follow. If you agree or disagree, please share and add feedback so we can help build something amazing 🙏🏽

Is anyone building a TikTok/Instagram clone but with farcaster infrastructure or do I need to build it? With the mass exodus of TikTok, Instagram, and X, I see a massive opportunity where millions of users are looking for a better social media alternative that solves the censorship and ownership problem.

With Zora, Rodeo, and Base app pivoting who is going to fill the gap for onchain creators? You can say it didn’t work but at 1 point they were some of the most used apps in crypto. I believe creator apps still have a lot of potential, the tokenomic flywheel for creator coins wasn’t fully baked yet with every post unnecessarily coined. Just imagine a creator app that combined the strengths of Rodeo and Zora on farcaster’s profile infrastructure 🤯
