This man makes an excellent plate of char kuey teow. He is 86 years old now, and my mother has eaten there on & off for the last 52 years. It comes with a good amount of pork lard. Cockles. And that egg is amazing. Good “wok hei”. You do have to travel for it though: Melawis Char Kuey Teow, Klang, Selangor.

Honestly it really was. Also to be able to have a plate of food that my mom once ate when she was a teen. So good
