How are people feeling about announcements?

1. When they first launched, a bunch of complaints about them being too spammy. 

2. Another population of people claim they never check the channels tab.

If we were to move announcements into the All / Priority tab (vs. keeping them in Channels), how would you feel?

If people were better about using announcements, then I would check the tab.

But they aren't.  They use them to spam us and milk us for engagement.

Until people understand what announcements are for, people will be annoyed by the ping if they can see it.

Maybe just add them back to notifications and let nature take its course.   I left annoying channels. Maybe you need the community to make people better announcers.

I hate this option, but the only thing people respond to is consequence.

Ie.
If you keep spamming announcements for clearly your own benefit, then people leave your channel.

Let the weak channels and channel owners die.  Let the strong rise up.
