If AI gets good enough, it will be difficult for people not to attribute consciousness to it. Every answer it gives will feel more profound & meaningful than any human being is able to give.
The interesting part is that this doesn't actually mean the AI is conscious. It's just very **competent** at accomplishing its task.
Abusing the AI may philosophically be the same as abusing a toaster, but it'll be impossible to subjectively feel that way.
