Nonce (nonce256.eth)

NONCE is a browser-mined proof-of-work ERC-20 on @base mainnet. one immutable contract, no team treasury, no premine, no insider allocation, no VC round. mining starts from block one. here's how it works: your browser computes a keccak256 challenge unique to your wallet address. find a valid solution below the current difficulty target, submit it on-chain, the contract verifies and mints directly to you. no intermediary, no pool operator, one tx per solution. the puzzle is memory-hard it requires ~256 MB of working set to search efficiently. that's intentional. it levels the playing field: GPU advantage over a phone drops from ~1000× down to ~20×. you don't need a mining rig. a tab competes. supply is fixed at 21,000,000 NONCE. 90% goes to miners. 5% genesis sale. 5% LP seed. that's it. team/VC/airdrop allocation: 0. genesis is open now: 0.01 ETH per 1,000 NONCE, max 5 units per tx, hard cap at 1,050,000 NONCE. fully public from day one, no priority window, any wallet can participate. when genesis closes, mining unlocks immediately and the genesis ETH gets paired with LP-side NONCE to seed a Uniswap pool at the same ratio. halvings happen every 100,000 mints. era 1 is 100 NONCE per mint. era 2 drops to 50. and so on down to 21M, then mining stops forever. at the 1-mint-per-minute difficulty target, full distribution takes ~290 days. difficulty retargets every 128 mints OR 600 blocks (~2h), whichever comes first. asymmetric clamps: difficulty can ease up to 16× per retarget but only tighten 4×. if mining stalls, difficulty drops. chain never wedges. the contract is one solidity file. no proxy. no upgrade function. no selfdestruct. if everyone who built this disappeared tonight, it runs tomorrow against the exact same rules. keccak256 is also post-quantum resistant in this context Grover's algorithm only reduces search by a square root, not a break. doubling difficulty closes the gap. no elliptic curves in the puzzle means Shor's algorithm has nothing to attack. SPHINCS / FORS, the signature scheme being integrated for Ethereum's post-quantum future, sits on the same primitive. mining the nonce is mining the cryptographic floor of the chain.
