livestock is really hard from anecdotes of friends and families it could be rewarding but once something goes wrong it can head straight to zero real quick

truth, but it goes on just like any other businesses. Its hard at first, and eventually youll get better as experiences/years go by. there would be risks and rewards. Especially in PH -- lots of things to consider aside from the business itself lol. and in all honesty, Profit margin per se on a livestock business is actually not that big, for backyard farming, earning would probably just be enough to sustain, survive, and improve gradually. unless you will have a really Big business (2000 chicken heads/ or 200pigs) to supply to major retailers., that where the big bucks albeit needing higher capital.

definitely, one shouldnt delve into it because of the immediate promise of profit, but with DYOR have tons of friends stories where they were hit with the swine/bird flu, aircon malfunctioning, pests that ended up killing all their livestock

yes bro. those are factors to consider too. and even the seasons of the year! plus actual locations, and even molting cycles of birds, breeds of pigs, vitamins to use. etc. Its real life Monster Rancher experience for sure, thats what I think of it loll.
