There are two more creatures on Wall Street.
🐖 Hogs and 🐑 Sheep.
Traders rarely discuss them and that’s a significant issue.
Most traders don’t face ruin as bulls or bears.
They get taken down as hogs and sheep.
Here’s why:
🐖 Hogs are driven by greed.
They take overly large positions.
They neglect stop-loss orders.
They hang onto trends too long, waiting for “just a little more”...
And when the market turns against them even slightly they get eliminated.
Traders often say:
“Bulls make money, bears make money, but hogs get slaughtered.”
🐑 Sheep are even worse.
They lack independent thought.
They blindly follow signals, influencers, and “gurus.”
They enter trades late, exit poorly, and panic during volatility.
They don’t trade with conviction; they simply follow the crowd.
Until that crowd leads them to disaster.
