The Trader and the Clockmaker
(Trading × Philosophy × Patience)
A young trader once visited an old clockmaker who was famous for creating timepieces that never drifted, never rushed, never lagged.
The trader asked, “Master, how do you build something so precise?”
The clockmaker picked up a tiny gear, barely visible, and said:
“Everyone praises the hands that move…
but no one respects the gears that wait.”
The trader frowned. “Wait?”
“Yes,” the old man smiled.
“A clock works because most of its parts are waiting
waiting for the right moment to move,
waiting for the right alignment,
waiting for the right connection.
Only then can time make sense.”
The trader sat quietly, thinking of all the trades he took too early,
all the setups he forced,
all the entries he chased.
