Fuck the “Social Smart Contract” and “The Network Code”. Free speech is free speech. Classifying AI writing as a “digital felony” is absurd. Classifying arguments and disagreements as “digital misdemeanors” is absurd. Offensive speech is not inherently violence, and disagreement is not harassment. Who decides what constitutes a “clear hoax”? History has repeatedly demonstrated the dangers of appointing arbiters of truth. A social network that punishes disagreement, polices opinions, and appoints itself the arbiter of truth is fundamentally hostile to free expression. Also, “voting to leave” immediately banning you from the only popular client is hilarious. The irony is palpable. Nothing says "social contract" quite like voting no and immediately getting deported. Truly poetic.
