I rarely bother much with parenting twitter as my personal opinion is that there are a zillion ways to raise kids and everyone is going to figure out what works well for them.
We were blessed that my wife could stay home with the kids, which allowed for early bed times (cause early dinner - 5 PM was a reality).
Bed time for the youngest typically started a bit before 7 so books could be read, and then the next, and the next. We have three.
Lights were mostly out by 7:30 or 8 through elementary school. Our kids typically slept more than their classmates.
For good parts of the high season, my wife put all the kids to bed cause I would go back to work after dinner. She literally did* 90+ percent of the parenting during the busy season.
It was a trade off for our circumstances.
FWIW southern New England is also on the eastern edge of the EST zone, it gets dark early, and light early.
*Functionally still does, though the parenting demands have evolved as the kids have grown older.
