I know of at least 1 person who has maintained a 100% voting record for nearly a year since getting their noun but almost never leaves a vwr and the people don’t like that so they’re probably not seen as “excellent” lol

History of comedians has shown that, unfortunately, some of the funniest people are sometimes also the most hurt people because comedy and being funny and laughing is often a coping mechanism for a lot of us when dealing with those life experiences. So it’s definitely a fine line to walk on sometimes

I think u can learn how to be funny forsure. A lot of it is derived from life experiences (good and bad) and external influences; movies, books, other people, etc., and how to pull from those things that make us unique. Confidence is a huge part of it too and that is a thing that can be practiced as well, putting yourself out there and not being afraid of what others think or not caring if they’re laughing with you or at you, they’re still laughing and that’s the goal to an extent. Learning boundaries is a big thing, knowing what is and isn’t ok to joke about and reading someone’s expressions to know when to “yes, and” or when the joke isn’t landing or when it is/isn’t the right time to make a joke. Yes I do think there’s tons of people who are just naturally funny, but those people still learn, practice, and study, subconsciously or not.

As the clounders (collective nouns founders), we set the tone early of what the vision was and wanted to give the community opportunities to build on top of yellow instead of only us doing everything. It’s all cc0 and holders of 3 or more collective nouns can submit a proposal for funding on the nouns build site

Every Nanoid will have a unique name and description explaining who they are, where they live, and what kind of mischief they are up to, but there will be no individual traits. Just art. Somewhere while creating them, I thought it would be a fun to play with the idea of "what if these little creatures lived inside our devices purely to cause chaos". And thus the names and descriptions were born.

While coming up with a list of potential names for the collection, I came across Nano ID, which is quoted on github as "an amazing level of senseless perfectionism, which is simply impossible not to respect." I then searched the word Nanoid and it's defined as "having an abnormally small body: dwarfish" Both of these descriptions fit perfectly to what was in my brain and what I was drawing.

Each Nanoid is hand drawn and inspired by cartoons and artists I love and grew up on, as well as simply just some fun, organic shapes. Everything I love from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes, and Pixar have a small part in inspiring the creation of the Nanoids. Also artists/projects like Gremplin, Sloppy Pencil, Nouns, Croak Cabal, and a handful of others I pulled inspiration from when drawing these little things.
