Before it was go to college, get a career, married, house, kids.
Now college doesn’t guarantee anything except debt. Most jobs barely cover the cost of living. Media imposes an “impending doom” that someone is always out to do u harm which makes people overly cautious (not that it’s a bad thing to be cautious). Makes it hard to support someone else when we can barely support ourselves most of the time
