For the creation of mind - bending psychological thrillers, we're in search of a new Hitchcock, Kubrick, or Nolan. Sadly, the cultural and psychological landscapes that birthed their mind - bending works haven't seen such radical shifts since the mid - 20th century. Perhaps the current understanding of neuroscience and mental health could be the new source of inspiration for psychological thrillers.
