With the closure of Pirate Nation as a “fully onchain” game I’m hopeful future attempts at onchain gaming will be made with more rational blockchain integration. I’ve said it so much I’m starting to annoy myself: Stop trying to cram your game logic onto the blockchain. It doesn’t belong there.

I’ve said this before on the bird app: blockchains are where value is stored. If your thing doesn’t have onchain value then it doesn’t need to be stored there. Save yourself the headache and put it in Postgres.
