I used a lot of hyphens '-' and '...' before AI in tech specs and pro emails. hyphens - much in the same manner as AI does. It permits quickly to jump to the next similar thing without fuss about grammar, saves words and for AI - tokens, and avoids new sentences. However I predict AI will probably never use "..." as often (except in litteral sense as etc.) , while in my context was mostly used for "and so on in the same context, you get what I mean ..."
