We ask all new joiners at CoinGecko what is their favourite cryptocurrency. Recently one new joiner said her favourite coin is XRP. 

People like to make fun of XRP but we really shouldn’t cause this is a coin that somehow has managed to capture user’s attention and has returned over 50,000% over the last 10 years. 

It even broke past its previous ATH way earlier this cycle.

CastOut IV: Return to Memecoin Island

My simple understanding: It's the rails for banks to use to make crypto payments. A lot of talk that banks 'approve' of its use and the token would be used for things like international payments so banks can do it cheaper. True crypto people hate it because it's 'not crypto' because it's not about freedom and getting away from mean banks. It's the enemy using it. But for sane people the sound of banks using crypto sounds like a great opportunity to invest. 

Just formulated in passing and my not be the best explanation. Would be interested if anyone shoots it down. I own none.
