@neynar 's answer confirms my concerns. 'it's no safer than any normal website--you trust the domain' ... that doesn't work for me in the world we are living in.
I shouldn't be the one discovering this so I'm thinking I'm wrong, but until I hear a better answer....
Simply put, if a snap opens a new tab what illicit things can it do and it's too late to stop?
