Backtesting crypto trading bots? Beware of overfitting and look-ahead bias. These pitfalls can make a strategy look amazing on historical data but utterly fail in live trading. Overfitting means your bot is too tailored to past price action, and look-ahead bias means it's using future information. Real trading is about adapting to the present, not memorizing the past.
