This tree used to be known as Lanthom, a name that unfortunately sounds a bit like the Thai word for suffering (Ra-thom). Because of that, it’s now called Leelawadee, which translates to 'the flower of graceful movement.' That’s the story of the Frangipani from my country. A lot of names, right?
