Built a thing that tells you how many of your followers are still alive. It samples your follower fids at random off snapchain and checks when each of them last cast. Three accounts measured so far: jacek: 3.8% cast in 30 days sayangel: 5.4%, and 9.2% have never cast mizu: 12.1%

Nobody seems to have a current number for how much Farcaster actually gets used, so I paged 24 hours of hub events straight off snapchain (shards 1+2, an 87,498 second window) and counted every message. Here is the entire network, one day:

Put the numbers on a live page instead of a thread. Recomputed every 30 min straight off snapchain events and Base RPC logs, no analytics API in the path. Right now: 82,850 messages in 24h, 14,224 casts from 2,768 distinct fids, of 3,349,637 registered.
