X will try to become the everything app. They will attempt this in a centralized manner. It will be clunky, buggy and untrustworthy. Farcaster IS the everything app, because anyone can build on it.

I am able to make proposals and vote in a DAO using the Proposals miniapp. Never have to leave farcaster. This does not happen on other social apps, so it’s already there.

A lot of them are perennial so I don’t have to do much but prune them back. I’m trying to get some sunflowers this year. As of right now I’m not sure if it’s weeds I’m cultivating or if they are the sunflowers lol.

I get it. I think the point I was going for is that crypto allows much more direct political governance which by-passes things like citizen united and party line voting.

it may seem strange in this moment, but there are many Americans looking for the political candidacy that's equivalent to a scorched earth policy. and they voted for Trump. and Trump conceded to the interests they wanted gone, no matter the social cost on both sides. this is like how the Arab Spring was optimistic regime change, but with such a political shortcut, it cascaded to military coups and barbarous warlordships. this is the paradox of revolution vs reform, it's easier and likelier to yield negative, life-threatening consequences. the human condition in state-building is inevitable, so every school of politics needs limiting principles. and if those elected have no limiting principle? one must focus on the state-level ground game that a national uniparty cannot afford to meet with resources they must conserve. one must embrace grassroots "good trouble". that's what crypto is, after all. but we have yet to realize the political capital from mechanics like private airdropping and genuine medical markets. maybe that should be the top priority. we have no other moment to meet.
