Not a lot until COVID. One of my placements during medical school was on a respiratory ward aka COVID Ward and it was obviously a lot more hectic than usual.
The 'Do Not Resuscitate' situation popped up a lot more than usual and there were always disagreements between patient and family. Patient Autonomy is always important but it made me value the impact of family a lot more in these decisions. The miscommunication between patient and family was an issue
