For the development of superhero comics, we need a new Lee, Kirby, or Ditko. Sadly, the cultural and social climates that spawned their iconic heroes haven't changed drastically enough since the Golden and Silver Ages of comics. Maybe the rise of social - justice movements could inspire new superhero archetypes.
