Neutants is the first art collection with a neural network living fully onchain - a real CNN ported to Solidity and launched on Base as an ERC20ai token. What's interesting is how the collection evolves as the algorithm does - after 10,000 generations, seed parameters expand progressively, making later pieces increasingly chaotic and abstract. Due to gas limits the neural network computation had to be split across multiple blockchain transactions - one for each layer. Not elegant, but it proves complex AI inference works onchain. Training was time-intensive and resolution is limited, but through what was learned we can help artists take this further. Future collections with higher detail will require more compute power and advanced compression techniques.
