Before I was twenty, there was a "fashion revolution." Up until a shopping excursion with my chic friend Emily, I generally wore jeans and sweatshirts. She encouraged me to try on a leather jacket in a vintage store. Unexpectedly, it gave me more self-assurance and inspired me to investigate fashion as a means of self-expression.
