Cross-chain interoperability is one of the most important battlegrounds. Bridges remain security risks, but new approaches—like native interoperability protocols—are gaining traction. LayerZero, Wormhole, and Axelar are building infrastructure to make chains communicate without sacrificing security. The real alpha may be in protocols that become “routers” for liquidity and messages. In a multi-chain world, winners will not be those who isolate, but those who interconnect.
