Rammana – The Legendary Thai Horse A native horse from Maha Sarakham, born in the golden era of Thai horse racing in 1977. Its fame echoed like the sound of drums across the land.
It began by winning at the Korat track, then moved to Bangkok, where it set records with 13 consecutive victories. Rammana claimed the Royal Queen’s Cup, carrying the maximum weight of 10 stone, alongside its jockey Boonchu, who helped etch its name into history.
After resting and racing abroad, Rammana finally met its first defeat against a formidable rival. Yet it returned for a final race in Thailand, winning with a record‑breaking time. The sound of the drum marked its farewell, leaving the track as one of the greatest Thai racing legends.
