Think of Zama like a digital city that runs on teamwork instead of bosses
At the center are 16 operators where 13 handle data security (the KMS crew) and 3 handle encrypted computing (the FHE pros)
They’re the people making sure everything runs safely and smoothly
In the beginning, @zama handpicks these Genesis Operators. They’re trusted developers and companies with real reputations
The idea is simple: if they misbehave, they’ve got something to lose, their name, their business, their credibility
Over time, the city opens its gates.
Anyone can become an operator if they prove they can run a test node properly and stake a small share of $ZAMA tokens and every few months, the best operators get chosen to keep the system running and they earn rewards for doing it well.
Not everyone needs to be technical though. If you just hold $ZAMA tokens, you can still earn by delegating them to trusted operators who do the work.
