Meridian founders are outsiders to the pharmacy space, with an electric engineering & plasma physics background. This is a feature not a bug. The industry needs novel approaches. But they're not naive - they're partnering with UT Austin's nuclear program, have a grant from department of energy, and will soon announce partnerships with top-tier pediatric cancer foundations.

If curing stage IV breast cancer isn't a compelling hook... Eric has the team, persistence, and unique approach to tackle a $75b/year market opportunity (US alone). He's facing a chicken-or-egg problem in that top tier VC's think they're a bit early too invest but need funding to complete 6-12 months of studies before beginning human trials.

Solicitation to FC community: My business has a really solid shot at curing stage iv breast cancer but we've had a devil of a time with cold outreach to investors / angels. every niche audience on X might be as large as farcasters entire user base atm. imo would need to be intentional about onboarding different nodes of each niche to catch up. one at a time.
