Social trading is copy trading your friends on the internet. Letting users share and consume ideas about the trade in a simple and intuitive interface enables this behaviour. One interesting stab farcaster has taken at this is to share simple trade info like 'bought $50' or 'sold $100' along with the cast. This has enabled folks like @zinger to share good ideas about trades and a lot more people to copy trade as they can see both the skin in the game and the idea behind it. @jesse.base.eth when I try to `share` right after making a trade, Base app just adds a link to trade the token and makes a normal cast which gets lost along with all the casts in the network. Farcaster protocol enables having any arbitrary string as a parent to a cast (FIP 2). The farcaster app uses this to group casts with token trades. It would be great to have the base app also leverage this data about token trades at the protocol level along with new ideas to better try out social trading.

A lot of good ideas don’t work because they are not well executed. This is why we keep seeing folks with first mover advantage lose while later attempts work out. Definitely a lot of this is just timing but execution quality is often overlooked.
