An Australian photographer has won the “Macro Photographer of the Year 7” award with a stunning underwater shot captured inside a soft coral known as “cauliflower coral” in Indonesia.
Ross Gudgeon took home the £2,500 prize, following his previous win in the Australian Geographic “Nature Photographer of the Year” competition last September with the very same image.
In the youth category, 14-year-old Ritved Girish from the UAE was recognized for his impressive entry in a contest that attracted submissions from 63 countries worldwide.
