I forgot to say:
The sky is blue,
The earth is kind,
And the breeze smells of love.
I forgot to say:
Life is not always bitter,
That kindness still lives
In the eyes of a passerby,
In the hands of a stranger.
I forgot to tell myself:
The moon shines for everyone,
Even on nights
When darkness seems infinite.
I forgot to sing:
A bird doesn't ask
Why it flies;
It just spreads its wings
And greets the horizon.
And I forgot,
In the shadow of days,
To look for the child
Who still smiles
Inside me.
