How you could’ve printed a clean 20x on the MOODENG pump on MEXC
MOODENG did a stupid pump on MEXC today.
You didn’t need to be a trader to milk it — just understand how MEXC works.
When price flew to 0.23, the fair price (used for liquidation) was still 0.20.
That’s the cheat code.
If you short 0.23, your liq isn’t based on 0.23 — it’s based on 0.20.
Chart can moon, PnL can say -5k, -10k —
you don’t get liquidated until fair price moves.
Example:
500$ isolated
max leverage
~50k position
Price spikes → no liq because fair price lags.
Then MOODENG dumps to 0.18.
That’s a 22% move.
At 100x that’s 22x on margin.
500$ → ~11,000$.
Risk stays the same:
max loss = your 500$.
Why it works:
MEXC liquidates off fair price.
Fair is slow.
Last price is chaos.
So you survive pumps that should’ve deleted you and catch the retrace.
Same logic works for longs when fair is above spot.
