This poor journalist had to watch a week's worth of crappy UK soaps (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpqlg9y9y1qo) but some good came out of it. She inadvertently set a board game challenge! Can anyone figure out the three board games hiding on her shelf in this low res photo?
Saw this great piece from Richard Garfield (of Magic the Gathering fame) on balance in game design. https://boardgamegeek.com/blog/1/blogpost/169896/the-balancing-act Quite a long read, but full of gems like this: "A game in which the designer is the best player in the world is really more like a puzzle." š„

Best case scenario is one of the most powerful men in the world is trolling Britain for fun. Doesn't feel like a crazy flat-earth conspiracy to suggest there's an agenda or distraction going on though...
