FC Porto kicked off their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a 0–0 draw against Brazil’s Palmeiras, in a tightly contested Group A clash at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Despite chances on both ends, neither team managed to break the deadlock.
After Matchday 1, all four Group A teams — Porto, Palmeiras, Inter Miami, and Al Ahly — sit on one point, as both opening matches ended in 0–0 draws.
