unpopular take: if your existence on Farcaster is hoping to catch lighting by getting an interaction with @dwr.eth @ted @v or from a reply to their cast to improve your “reach” and get rewards you’re not winning. (not you pichi) find / create / curate your own following/interest/tribe/community. FC will thrive if ppl take steps and walk on their own. f*ck the algo ( it changes every 3 months). IMO the biggest flaw of FC users is this total dependence on these 3 to fuel the network. If you want FC to survive and thrive starting making it yours.

I was thinking of speaking up last night on this on farhouse… Clearly the Farcaster is in the phase to have verified users by 3 forms of proof + actual money. This is the 𝕏 paid model phase… Farcaster wants to be a paid social network with KYC-lite.

I can’t say if it’s quality over quantity because the less casts doesn’t mean they are better but rather that’s all the 36k users has to say or wants to cast each day…about 4.8 casts daily avg per user now vs 14.69 in Dec. Overall interaction with casts / orphaned casts counts is interesting… Dec 18 = 105k (20%) out of 529k May 17 = 70k (40%) out of 175k So less casts interacted with but higher % due to less overall casts…prob due to less noise of extra casts / cast interaction fatigue.
