RIP to the ol Taylormade M5 Driver. It started with a subtle seperation along the seem, then last week I bombed one down the center followed by the top of my driver. At least she ended her career on a surprisingly good drive.

ohh. i just tried the process and when I click submit its not registering and proceeding. LIkely due to a bug from the update of uploading 30k+ course data. Ill troubleshoot when im home this eveneing! Thanks! 420 $TIPN

I did. - but basement5k.base.eth consumed (newly registered basename) under my ENS addy. So now I log into coinbase and I have my OG basename (which is where most of my funds exist) and a now some random smart wallet addy that is nameless because of the transfer. When I go to base mode in coinbase it recognizes my FC account - but not my basename. So when Iog into CB wallet (TBA) I see the below, when base mode is engaged, My farcaster feed shows up, but my wallet reflects that random smart wallet addy balance

appreciate it. base is the only reason why im on chain, and why i am even having this dialogue with you right now - so I want it to succeed. Makes me feel better Im not the only one who feels this sort of confusion.

Im only poking holes because I truly believe if web3/base cares about its product they should be dying to hear experiences/povs from users like me. My experience: -decides to embrase crypto because he really believes in the tech. -gets onboarded via /base - decides to register their first ENS -Then decides to secure their first base name (because hes based) -hears about /farcaster - DIVES IN HEAD FIRST (wow this is all starting to make sense) - here comes farcaster wallet ( a little curveball but manageable) - smart wallet is a thing but not really necessary at this point. - coinbase wallet beta mode introduced- ok.... so I have a basename, but I need to create a new one? dont quite understand that but ok whatever ill do it i mean what do i know.) -coinbase wallet base mode introduced: "oh you know the base names you've invested time and energy into the past year? yeah you cant use those - you have to create a completely new wallet thats irrelevant to anything you've done and also fund it. Suddenly, and ironically a smart wallet has become more complex than a normal wallet. Someone please tell me I have something wrong here. hopefully this is a sutation where I just clearly have much more to learn....then again.... mission still is clearly not accomplished.

I have a smart wallet. So are you saying TBA does not work with the basename we created? Im clearly still trying to learn and lean in as much as possible. but if we need yet, another wallet and cannot use our basename for..... THE BASE APP - it seems like it would be confusing and nonsensical to someone foreign to web3? would you not agree?

I have this friend, total chill dude and is eager to be based.. Anywho....He is really curious why when he is signed into coinbase wallet with his primary wallet basename which he has had for over a year and goes to enable base mode - it disconnects him from his base wallet, and auto signs auto defaults to a random smart wallet address he was forced to make during the beta. He said it feels like enabling base mode just feels like he is turning off base mode. Can anyone ELIV? Again, this is my friend who is curious, not me at all.

I think i found the issue. Here is how it went down: 1. received beta access a little while ago 2. had to create and register a new basename 3. transferred ownership of that newly created basename to my primary basename (basement5k). I was logged in to CB wallet with an older smart wallet (not the one I made when joining the beta). I think I have a perspective the base team would appreciate, but fwiw I do not think smart wallets are as intuitive to someone like me who is newer to web3, vs the base team.
