Story time 💬✨ So yesterday I finally decided to give Farcaster a try 💜 When I created my account, the app asked me to make a passkey instead of giving me a seed phrase, and I was like uhm, cute, must be one of those passkey logins 😌 I was super sleepy though, so I totally forgot to check the settings for a seed phrase to write down like I usually do 😴 All good, right? Well... today I completely messed up 😭 I woke up and wanted to try $blarp (it’s very fun), but their miniapp only opens when it feels like it 😅 So I thought maybe clearing the app’s cache would help. Except it was literally the first thing I did after waking up, still in bed, half-asleep lol, and I accidentally hit clear data instead 💀 I opened the app right after and instantly realized what I’d done. I jumped out of bed like nooooo! Then I saw I was still logged in on my computer, and thought I was safe. But turns out the desktop login isn’t fully independent, so I couldn’t get my key from there 🥲 My only option was the email recovery. When I started the process, I noticed they were now giving me a seed phrase, and my heart sank. I thought it would only recover my Farcaster account, not my wallet too. It wasn’t a huge amount, like $80 or so, but the idea that I’d messed up that bad honestly stung a lot. And I was kind of mad at the app for giving me a false sense of security 😤 They said it could take up to 72 hours, so I was just hoping for the best. But a few hours later I got the email, and guess what... I actually got my funds back too 🥹💖 So yeah, turns out Farcaster is super normie friendly and I was stressed for nothing lol. Honestly, I’m really impressed with how foolproof it is 💫
