Severe internet restrictions in Iran are still ongoing.
While some international monitoring systems show partial network visibility, real access to the open internet for ordinary people remains heavily filtered, restricted, and controlled. This does not represent a return to normal connectivity.
These digital restrictions are happening alongside deeply concerning reports of violent crackdowns, mass arrests, and deadly force used against protesters. In this context, limiting internet access is not merely a technical measure — it becomes a barrier to the free flow of information and to the world witnessing events on the ground.
When communication channels are shut down, voices are silenced, documentation becomes harder, and families struggle to stay connected. Information blackouts increase the risk of abuses happening unseen.
We stands for open networks, open communication, and the fundamental right of people to be seen and heard. A healthy digital world depends on access, transparency, and connection.
