How Staking Works Staking in Based Karma is built around configurable choices that allow users to define their own strategy. Each staking position is created by selecting a lock duration, a claim frequency, a reward type, and a fixed stake amount. These parameters directly influence yield, progression, and long term positioning. Lock Duration Users can choose between 30, 60,or 90 day lock periods. Longer lock durations unlock higher yield multipliers and reflect stronger long term alignment with the ecosystem. The system is intentionally structured to favor patience and sustained commitment. Claim Frequency Stakers can select how often rewards are claimed and compounded. Daily claims offer base yield with maximum flexibility. Weekly claims provide an increased yield bonus. Monthly claims offer the highest yield multiplier, rewarding users who are willing to compound over longer cycles. Reward Type Based Karma offers flexible reward composition to support different goals. Users can choose to receive rewards entirely in $KARMA tokens, split rewards between $KARMA and Karma Points, or receive rewards fully in Karma Points. Token rewards provide immediate liquidity and are tradable. Karma Points contribute to avatar progression and increase eligibility for future airdrops. Higher point allocation unlocks additional yield bonuses. Stake Amount Tiers Staking is available in fixed tiers to ensure predictability and reduce short term volatility. Available tiers include 1M, 5M, 10M, 25M, 50M, and 100M $KARMA. Larger positions reflect deeper commitment and increase influence within the ecosystem. Yield Structure Each staking position begins with a base monthly yield of 10 percent. Final yield increases dynamically based on lock duration, claim frequency, reward composition, stake size, and avatar level. With optimal configuration, total yield can reach up to 24 percent monthly, equivalent to 120 to 288 percent annualized. Avatar Level Bonus Avatar progression directly impacts staking rewards. Higher avatar levels unlock additional APR bonuses, reinforcing the connection between participation, progression, and economic rewards. This system ensures that active contributors are consistently prioritized. Stability and Early Cancellation Early cancellation is supported under defined conditions. To protect system stability during the initial rollout phase, early cancellation is temporarily disabled and will be enabled in a future release once the staking layer has fully matured.
