Two jellyfish-like galaxies🪼 Astronomers have imaged the merging galaxies UGC 9326 and UGC 9327 using the 8.2-meter optical Japanese Subaru telescope located on the Mauna Kea volcano in the state of Hawaii. Due to the gravitational interaction between the galaxies, their original shape has distorted and they have become jellyfish-like. This pair of galaxies is located at a distance of about 770 million light-years from Earth.
